11th November’2009 the most auspicious day for Sri Kamakshi Ambal. The birth star POORAM in the month of THULA (IYPPASI) falls on the date. On the day at 4 PM, Milk Abishegam will be performed not only to Goddess Kamakshi, but also to BILAKASAM situated inside the Garbagraha. After the abishegam Utsava deity will be taken in procession to the POORAM MANDAPAM situated in the Outer Prakaram just opposite to South Rajagopuram.
